It sometimes happens that I get my camera with me. You can see some of my amateur work on-line: |
I got interested in photography a few years ago. From then, this way of spending my free time [sigh...] gives me the pleasure of watching the world and trying to freeze the images I see.
Currently, for most of my work I use Nikon D70 with the 18-70mm zoom lens. It looks like this:

What is interesting is that previously I was strongly against digital photography, but it crept into my life anyway.
One of the reasons that I wanted to buy a digital camera is
that with "normal" camera I lost a lot of time (and money!) to repair
pictures that were spoiled while processing at commercial photo labos.
See why I don't like incompetent guys from
those labos.
What's even more interesting is that for the moment I do not regret
this change and I think it was a very good investment.
Of course, I had to learn about the limitations that are imposed by
digital cameras - these are things that can actually spoil the
otherwise good picture. The main limitation is the low scale of
tonality when compared to good traditional photographic materials.
See my tests of Nikon D70.
If you see any of my pictures with the number that is greater
than 05040000 then most likely it was taken with the above equipment.
Some of the examples are:
Before buying Nikon D70, I used Nikon FM2 with 50mm, f1.8 lens, which allowed me to shoot a lot of really good pictures:

The model above is the titanium version with the 1.4 lens.
Let's say - I used a bit less expensive (a few times...), standard model with a bit
slower lens.
It's a really good camera for really hard-core guys.
The only helper that it has is the lightmeter, so it's really hard to
come up with a technically good picture!
(but once you use this camera for a day, you do not want to give it back...)
What I really appreciate is that I can still use the manual 50mm f1.8
lens with newer Nikon D70, although it is not very convenient.
Two selected examples taken with this camera:
My oldest pictures were made with a very old Pentax
ME Super with 135mm, f3.5 and 28mm, f2.8 lenses.
It looks like this:

The only bad thing I can say about this camera is that it's out of production... It's very light (although it's not the universal advantage) and the second-hand lenses are quite affordable.
Here are examples taken with that old Pentax, with the 135mm lens (this length gives some cool selectiveness - see the left picture - and together with the macro rings allows to play with macro photography - the picture on the right was taken with the flash, bounced off the wall):
Anyway - I invite you to see more of my work on-line. See links at the top of this page.
